Hector - Dog Photography in Worcestershire

Hector’s owner, Sarah, and I met up for a muddy dog photography session to capture some classic portraits of her handsome yellow boy.

We met at the Lickey Hills Country Park, near Bromsgrove, in Worcestershire, and created some lovely memories of Hector in the autumn woodland colours.

About Hector’s Dog Photography Session:

It was one of the darkest and most grey November days that you could imagine. However, as we were heading into the short winter days and with such an overcast day forecast, we could meet up mid-morning instead of at the crack of dawn. Normally, sessions are held just after sunrise or before sunset; this gives us the best light; the bright overhead sun at midday is not ideal for this kind of portrait session.

Hector was such a big handsome labrador and was so calm to work with. He willingly went everywhere we suggested and patiently posed for his portrait. All he needed was that his lovely owner, Sarah was always in his eye line.

Here are a few of his photographs:

After the Dog Photography Session:

Once we wrapped up the dog portrait session, I headed back to the office to whittle down all the wonderful photographs we took to the final gallery, that were then presented to Hector’s owner.
